Season 2- Episode (1)

Will Erica be successful in tuning Bernard’s heart towards her? Will Bernard be successful in his

quest to win Aba’s heart at all cost or he will give up and settle with Erica who had become so

fond of him?

Mr. Harry came to visit Aba in the afternoon. He was expectant to receive a positive answer from Aba. She called Aba to meet her outside the hall, which she did. “You are welcome Mr. Harry.” Aba said. “Thank you Aba. I hope you have thought about my proposal. I know I told you to take all the time you need to give me an answer, but I couldn’t sleep last night. I was just

thinking about you. That was the reason I called this morning to know if you had reached a decision.”

Mr. Harry immediately said after Aba greeted him.“Humph! ... I thought about your proposal last night and I decided to give us a chance. I have been in a bad relationship lately and suffered a serious heartbreak. I hope you will not to break my heart too?” Aba asked with anxiety. “No, dear. I will never do such a thing. I really adore you and I wouldn’t do anything to hurt you.” Mr. Harry retorted.

Mr. Harry was now relieved and asked Aba whether they could go to her room. Aba lead the way and they both headed to her room.When Stella saw them, she was expecting Mr. Harry to be sad, but she was disappointed to see the smiles on his face. She then got to know that Aba didn’t take her advice. She was filled with hatred towards both of them and wished their relationship wouldn’t work.

In the midst of chatting and anxiety, Erica entered the room with Bernard. It seemed they were returning from one of their meetings. Bernard was famished and Erica proposed to cook him lunch. When Bernard got to the room, he was happy to see Aba and Mr. Harry. He initially thought Mr. Harry was a relative of Aba. He moved quickly to introduce himself. He didn’t want to lose this opportunity.

“Hello Mister, am Bernard and a friend of Aba.” Bernard greeted and introduced himself. “Oh, I see. I am Mr. Harry, Aba’s boyfriend.” Mr. Harry replied him. Bernard was in shock for a moment. He couldn’t speak. He felt his heartbeat rate increasing. He couldn’t believe what he heard. “Did I really hear him right,” he thought with fear and a heartbreak. This was the second time Aba had broken his heart and he couldn’t take it anymore.

He lost his appetite and excused himself from their presence. He wanted to be alone to think through the depression he was in. Erica immediately sensed what Bernard was going through. She left the room in a hurry and followed up on him.

Meanwhile, Mr. Harry was also surprised at the behavior of the gentleman who left his presence. He wanted to know why he acted that way. “Aba, who is that gentleman?” He asked Aba with a perplexed look. “Oh Mr. Harry, it is nobody special. His name is Bernard and he is my course mate. That is all.” Aba replied, trying her best not to make Mr. Harry suspicious.

Erica caught up with Bernard near the basketball court and hurriedly held his arm. “Bernard please stop!! What are you doing to yourself? You will surely kill yourself while Aba is there enjoying and she doesn’t care about you.” Bernard realized that Erica was speaking the truth. He tried his best to control his emotions, but couldn’t. He didn’t know what to do. His quest to win Aba’s heart at all cost had been

terminated. He tried his best to prevent the tears streaming down his cheek by wiping them with the back of his hand. He didn’t want Erica to see him cry. The thought that resonated in his

mind was, a man shouldn’t cry and that strengthened him.

Erica tried all she could to console Bernard. She was also heartbroken to see the one she loves so dearly crying over another lady. A lady who didn’t care about what he felt. She had done everything possible for Bernard to realize how much she loves him, but he is so much into Aba that he can’t even get the signals she sends. “Bernard needs me more than ever,” she thought. “I can’t leave him in this state knowing what he is going through. The truth of the matter is I like him and I must do everything possible to see smiles return to his face again.

Back in Aba’s room, she was still happily engaged in conversation with Mr. Harry. Mr. Harry had promised her heaven on earth. He promised to rent a flat for her so she could have her privacy. He promised her trips abroad and a luxurious lifestyle. Aba was happy because it was her dream to travel to all those places Mr. Harry was talking about.

For Mr. Harry to prove his seriousness, he gave Aba five thousand Ghana cedis to search for a flat and rent. He told her he would furnish the flat once she found one. Stella was so much filled with hatred and jealousy. “This should have been me,” she thought. “Ever since I met this girl, she has always been a step ahead of me. Whenever we visit a place, she is always the center of attraction while I diminish into obscurity. I can’t take this nonsense anymore!!”

Meanwhile, Erica was able to calm Bernard. She escorted him to his room and went out to buy food for him. It was at this point that Bernard saw Erica differently. He realized how caring she

was and then started developing feelings for her. “This girl has always been by my side. She encourages me and always help me when am down. Why don’t I try to know her more?” Bernard battled with these thoughts for a while and then decided to give it a shot.

When Erica came back with the food. She saw that Bernard wasn’t depressed again. She was very happy to

see the smiles back on his face. They spent more time chatting and Bernard tried to know more about her.

Mr. Harry excused himself to go to the office. Aba immediately went in search of the flat. She found adverts on the school notice board and called immediately. She negotiated the price and

rented the apartment the same day. She called Mr. Harry and told him about it. Mr. Harry promised to stock her room with whatever she needed.

True to his promised, he bought all that Aba needed, including household appliances and utensils. He even promised to get Aba her own car. Indeed, Aba felt the whole world was under her feet. She packed out of her room on campus and moved into her new house.

What is Aba going to face in her new world? What of Mr. Harry, is he really in love with Aba or he is just taking her for a ride? Will Bernard finally propose to Erica? What is Stella going to do

to have her revenge on Mr. Harry and Aba?
