Juggled Glory (The Story of Aba) by Lewis Dampson

Season 2- Episode (5)

She had already searched through her husband’s document and had been successful in getting the address of the flat. Mr. Harry had written it in one of his books. She was just waiting for her rival to return. She had a lot of things in stock for her.

Aba and Mr. Harry arrived in the afternoon the next day. They were so exhausted that they had to go to their respective homes and meet later. Mr. Harry got home to meet his wife in the hall. Mrs. Harry pretended everything was all right and welcomed her husband home with opened arms. “Welcome honey. How was the trip?” asked Mrs. Harry. “Oh dear, it was wonderful.

You know these businessmen in Dubai can sometimes give you headaches, but are also good business partners. I was able to buy the estate properties at a discounted price for my company.” Replied Mr. Harry. “Oh, I see. That is very nice. I have served your favorite meal on the dining table. I am glad you are back.” Mrs. Harry said in a nice and sweet tone.

Mrs. Harry behaved nicely in the sight of his husband because she didn’t want him to be suspicious. She had a perfect plan to eliminate her rival and any wrong move may thwart her plans.

Aba came to her room tired. She had toured almost all parts of Dubai. She saw wonderful sites and was very happy she went with Mr. Harry to see the place. She was glad except the frequent intimacy Mr. Harry had with her. The worse part of the whole situation was Mr. Harry didn’t use protection and she was in her fertile period of her menstrual cycle. She was just hoping her fears won’t materialize. She didn’t want to be a disgrace to her parents.

Aba slept in the midst of her worries. She was so tired she slept deep. She heard no one breaking into her flat. What woke her up from her sleep was a sound she heard. It sounded like an opened door. Aba knew well she lived alone and she wasn’t expecting anyone. “Or it could be Mr. Harry. I know he is the only one capable of creeping up on me.” She thought. “Humph! This man is really something else. After all he did at Dubai he is still not satisfied.”

She went back to sleep again but suddenly jolted and sat on her bed. The shadow she saw on the wall wasn’t Mr. Harry’s. “Who is that?” she shouted with fear in her voice but received no answer. The unknown person was tiptoeing and that made her feel uncomfortable. She then knew she was in danger. She sweated profusely and her mind ran wide. The shadow was still approaching her bedroom. It was moving and was almost at her door.

Aba wanted to shout for help but couldn’t. She didn’t know whom to call at that ungodly hour. She called Mr. Harry, but his phone was switched off. “What am I going to do now? Who can this person be? An armed robber?” She rhetorically asked herself. “Oh God!! Please save me!”

The intruder opened the door with a master key and entered the room. Aba then realized it wasn’t one person, but four people. They were all masked and she couldn’t identify them. Aba knew all hope was lost. She sat on her bed speechless. She couldn’t move any muscle. She was so terrified that her vocal chords couldn’t produce any sound. The only that could be seen moving was her sweat streaming down her face and soaking her nightie.

The four masked men moved towards her and grabbed her. They mercilessly assaulted her and abused her. They beat Aba so badly she was grasping for breath. At one point she felt that was her last day on earth. After assaulting her, they all raped her in turns. Aba was so defenseless and weak. “Stay away from Mr. Harry and your life would be spared. The next time we come here, you wouldn’t be this lucky. “Said the leader of the gang.
They dashed out of the room and fled.

Aba laid on the bed for a long time. She couldn’t move. All her bones were screaming for help. She was in serious pain and needed help badly. She managed to pick her phone after four hours and called Stella. She was the only person that came to mind.

Meanwhile, Stella was fast asleep when she heard her phone ringing “Why is Aba calling me at this time?” She asked herself rhetorically. “Hello Aba. Are you back from Dubai? She asked. “H..el..p.. Help… Stella please help me. I am dying.” Aba pleaded with an indistinctive voice. “Aba!!!! What is wrong with you? Please speak up!!” Stella exclaimed. “Help please,” Aba continued to plead with Stella.

Stella was very scared. She was wondering what was wrong with Aba. Her friend was dying and needed help. She immediately woke Erica and Abigail up. “Wake up girls!! Aba is dying and she needs our help.” Stella screamed.  Sleep was immediately eroded off their eyes when they heard those words. They immediately dressed up and went to look for a taxi.

In thirty minutes, they arrived at Aba’s flat. They quickly entered with no hindrances because her gate was wide open. They were all horrified when they saw their friend in a pool of her own blood on her bed. She was motionless and had lost consciousness. They quickly got her into the taxi they brought and took her to the hospital.

Aba was immediately resuscitated at the hospital but was still in a bad condition. She was in the emergency room. The doctor reported that she had some fractured bones and had been a victim of repeated rape but assured them she would be alright.

It now occurred to Stella who was responsible for her friend’s condition. She had plotted her own friend’s death out of jealousy. She had sold her friend out to a stranger. She wanted Mrs. Harry to confront Aba and warn her to stay away from her husband, but it seemed she took it too far. She had contracted armed men to brutalize her friend. She wanted to voice it out but couldn’t. She was scared of being prosecuted because of the rape incident. She had regretted her actions but couldn’t undo what she had done.

While Stella was still thinking about the consequences of her actions, a nurse came screaming for the doctor. She ran past them and barged into the doctor’s office.  The doctor came in a hurry and rushed into the emergency room. Aba’s condition had gone critical. Her pulse, heartbeat rate and blood pressure level were down. “Be fast nurse!! We are losing her!!” the doctor screamed at the nurse. The doctor was trying all he could to save Aba’s life.

What will happen next?
