Thousands queue up in Wa to reclaim their money from DKM microfinance. This follows a notice that an official liquidator gas been aappointed to see through the liquidation of DKM. The liquidator who goes by name Jemim Oware served a notice to creditors to lodge their claims with her with better proof before 11th May.
Due to that, many depositors who deposited their money with the micro-finance company in the Wa municipality has queued up to lodge their claims. Speaking to some of the depositors, they were frustrated with the long process involved to register their claim.
They had to pick a form for 50 pesewas, then make a coloured copy of all their receipts. And as a result of that, most of the photocopy centers in the municipality decided to make business out of it by increasing the cost of coloured printing. And before the form will be submitted to the representative of the liqudator in the region, a depositor would have to pay an amount of 5 cedis in other to get his or her form endoresed before submitting it to the representative of the liquidator.
