Juggled Glory (The Story of Aba) by Lewis Dampson

Season  1-  Episode  (6)

His  first  love  had  been  whisked  away. He  was  very heart  broken.    He  left  the  scene  quietly  to  his room  with  grief  and  disappointment  in  his  heart.

Aba  now came  to  reality  and realized  what  she  was  doing. She  had  allowed  emotions to  control  her thinking. She  saw  people  staring  at  them.  Jeremy  sensing  a  mood  change  opened the  front  door  of his  car  for  Aba.  He  sped  off  to  the  Golden  Tulip  Hotel  to  continue  what  he  had  started.

In  Bernard’s room,  he  laid  on  his  bed  quietly  trying  to  console  himself. His  friend  Francis  was also  doing  his  best  to  calm  him down. Bernard  had  lost  appetite  and  the  balls  of kenkey  he bought  had  become  cold. He  was  just  thinking  and  imagining  Aba  in  the  arms  of that  guy he saw.

Jeremy and  Aba  arrived  at  the  Golden  Tulip  Hotel. The  place  was  breathtaking. It  was  decorated and  had  a  foreign  touch.  Aba  had  never  been  in  a  five-star  hotel.  She  lost  it. Jeremy  took  her  to the  restaurant  in  the  hotel. Aba  was  brought  the  food  she  chose  from  the  menu  list. Jeremy hinted  the  waitress  to  add  a  bottle  of golden  spark  for  Aba.

Aba  ate  and  drank.

She  didn’t  know her  drink  contained  a  substantial  amount  of alcohol  that  could  make  her  get  drunk. Jeremy added  another  bottle  which  Aba  accepted  gladly. All  this  while,  Jeremy  was  looking  at  Aba  lustfully.  He  needed  something  to  happen  that  night. As  someone  who  was  into  business,  he  needed  a  return  on  his  investment.

He  saw  that  Aba was  tipsy  and  to  crown  it  all,  he  added  another  bottle  of golden  spark. He  encouraged  Aba  to take  the  last  bottle.  Aba  was  now  drunk,  she  lost  control  of  herself.

Unknowingly,  Jeremy had  booked  a  room  in  the  hotel. He  got  Aba  to  the  room. Aba  was  so drunk  she  immediately  slept  when  Jeremy  got  her  on  the  bed. In  less  than  a  minute,  Aba  felt tremendous  pain  in  her  abdomen. Alas,  her  hymen  was  broken. The  virginity she  held  precious was  now no  more  and  she  didn’t  even  know  it.

When Jeremy was  through  with  her,  he  went  to  his  car  and  drove  off  to  his  house  leaving  Aba alone  in  the  hotel room.  Aba  woke  up  and  now realized  what  had  happened  to  her. She  saw  the stains  of  blood  on  the  bedspread  and  immediately knew  what  Jeremy  had  done  to  her  the previous  night.

She  went  in  search  for  him,  but  he  was  long  gone.  Nothing  could  stop the  tears that  were  involuntarily  streaming  down  her  cheeks.  She  wept  bitterly  realizing  how foolish  she had  been. She  managed  to  put  herself  together  temporally,  dressed  up  and  went  out  of  the hotel. She  got  into  a  commercial  vehicle  and  headed  back  to  school.

Aba  came  to  meet  her  room  empty.  All  her  roomies  had  gone  for  lectures.  She  sat  on her  bed sobbing  and  thought  about  what  had  happened  to  her.  “Why!!!  Why!!!  How can  this  happen  to me?  She  sobbed  with  her  face  buried  in  her  pillow. She  wanted  to  soak  the  pillow  with  her tears,  perhaps  it  could  curb  her  grief.  She  laid  on  her  bed  thinking  of how  stupid  and  cheap  she had  been. But she  couldn’t  do  anything  about  her  situation. The  die  was  already cast.

Aba  heard  a  knock  on  her  door. Thinking  it  would  be  one  of her  roommates, she  got  up  from the  bed,  wiped  her  tears  and  went  to  open  the  door. To  her  utmost  surprise,  it  was  Bernard  at the  door. Bernard  had  gone  to  lectures  and  had  waited  for  Aba  to  show  up,  which  never happened. He  then  decided  to  pass  by her  room  to  check  up  on her.

“Hello  Aba,  I  didn’t  see  you  in  class  today.  What  happened?”  He  asked. “Am  not  feeling  fine Ben. I  am  feeling  sick. I  couldn’t  even go  to  where  I was suppose to  go  yesterday.”  She  lied  not knowing  Bernard  saw  her  kissing  Jeremy the  night  before. Bernard  played  along. After  all,  he  knew something  terrible  had  happened  to  Aba,  but  he wasn’t  sure  what  it  was.  He  also  didn’t  want  to  put  up  the  impression  as  an  inquisitive  person.

Aba  told Bernard  she  would  see  him  later  because  she  wanted  to  get  some  sleep.  Bernard excused  her  and  went  to  his  hall.  Aba  continued  to  cry over  the  incident  that  had  happened  the night  before.  What  even  made  her  bitter  was  she  hadn’t  heard  from  Jeremy.  She  needed explanations.  She  wanted  him  to  tell  her  why  he  took  her  out and  lured  her  into  having  a  sexual affair  with  him.

The  more  she  waited,  the  more  the  expected  call  didn’t  come.  She  got  fed  up and  took  her  phone  to  call  Jeremy  herself. She  was  shocked  at  what  she  heard. Jeremy’s  line was  switched  off. She  tried  several  times,  but  she  still  got  the  same  results. Nothing  could  console  her. She  felt  cheap  and  used. What  her  mom  warned  her  about  had happened  practically  to  her. She  never  imagined  Jeremy to  be  a  wolf  in  a  sheep's  clothing. The more  she  thought  about  the  whole  thing,  the  more  she  cried.

Meanwhile,  Bernard  was  sitting  on  one  of the  benches  in  his  hall  lost  in  thought. He  was  trying his  best  to  decipher  what  was  wrong  with  his  most  treasured  Aba.  He  really  saw  the  sadness  in her  eyes. He  could  hear  the  pain  and  anguish  in  her  voice,  but  Aba  had  refused  to  share  her problems  with  him.  He  thought  about  it  for  a  long  time.

Stella  and  the  other  roomies  barged  into  the  room.  Aba  was  startled  and  panicked. She  was brought  to  reality after  being  lost  in  thought  for  nearly two  hours.  “Hey girl!  You  really enjoyed yourself  last  night  right?  We  left  the  door  opened,  but  you  never  turned  up. I  guess  Jeremy made  you  very  happy  that  you  decided  to  abandon  your  bed.”  Erica  teased. “We  thought  we were  experienced,  but  it  seems  you  are  really a  bad  girl,  Perhaps  I should  come  for  lessons  from you.”

Stella  teased  Aba  as  she  sat  on  her  bed. Stella  was  in  a  haste  to  know the  details  of  what  transpired  the  night  before.  She  moved  from her  bed  and  sat  on  Aba’s  bed. “Tell  me  about  the  fun  you had  last  night.  Would  you?”  She asked. It  was  at  this  point  she  realized  the  tears  in  Aba’s  eyes. She  got  worried  and  asked  Aba what  had  happened  to  her.

Will  Aba be brave  enough  to  tell  Stella  and  the  other  roommates what had  happened  to her or  was she going  to  keep  the  whole  issue  a  secret  to  herself?

Watch  out  for  the  next  episode.
